An analysis of both statistics showed no category of violent crime witnessed a decrease in the number of incidents. Instead, violent crimes increased by 25%. On the other hand, property crimes had a decline in burglaries and MVT incidents, but the increase in larceny-theft still brought about a 22% increase. Overall, a 22% decrease in the total crime rate happened within these two years.
